The Other Extinction Rebellion: Countering the Loss of Biocultural Diversity

Terralingua has just announced a third Call for Contributions for Langscape Magazine! The theme is “The Other Extinction Rebellion: Countering the Loss of Biocultural Diversity.”

We’re inviting contributions in one of five formats: written story, photo essay, video, poetry, and artwork.

Keep this in mind: We want contributions with an “edge.” Rather than simply celebrating biocultural diversity or talking about the loss of biocultural diversity and  the importance of revitalizing it, show us how individuals and groups are taking conscious and powerful action to counter the loss.

Don’t shy away from the difficult historical and political issues involved. This might range from people taking a public stance with protests and demonstrations all the way to, say, a subtly “subversive” piece of artwork or poetry (in which the “rebellion” is metaphorically suggested) — and everything in between. But again, think “edge” and a bit hard-hitting.
