Donate to Support Biocultural Diversity!

December 11, 2023

People often ask us what they can do for biocultural diversity. These are people who know full well that diversity in both nature and culture is vital for the survival and thriving of life on this planet.

Yet, they feel overwhelmed by the existential crisis we face here on earth: climate change, biodiversity loss, ecosystem degradation, social injustice, discrimination, war and strife, and more. They want to act but wonder what they could possibly be able to do to help stem the tide.

Our answer is: “Unity in Biocultural Diversity”! We need to join forces all around the world to counter the crisis and change course!

Langscape Magazine’s stories powerfully convey that message of unity in biocultural diversity. Each and every story educates and inspires. At Terralingua, we are committed to building and sharing what is already the world’s largest repository of such stories—accessible online for free! Our goal is to bring the concept of biocultural diversity to hundreds of thousands—even millions—of people around the world, especially to younger generations, so that they can stand up for biocultural diversity and push for a change of course.

You can help this effort!

Take a moment to consider this: in the last 4 years, 70,000 people worldwide have read our online stories—people from over 50 countries, ranging from the United States, Canada, India, Australia, Nepal, and New Zealand to Senegal, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Tonga, and Ukraine.

We want to increase this reach by over 50% by the end of 2024.

Our primary obstacles in achieving our goal are (a) funding and (b) spreading the word.

Donations help us attract more and more stories about biocultural diversity, edit them, publish and share them, and appeal to more readers. With your help, we can build up this digital repository of stories and significantly expand its reach, in particular by engaging collaborators with the right skillsets to assist us in this effort.

Please consider donating!

Or, if you’re unable to donate at this time but want to help in some way, please contribute by spreading the word! Share our stories regularly and talk about biocultural diversity to family, friends, and colleagues as much as you can. We’ll be very grateful for that!

With heartfelt thanks and warm regards,
