Be a Guest Writer on Our Blog

Have a timely story to tell on a biocultural topic? Our News & Views blog features Terralingua and Langscape updates, as well as Dispatches — to-the-minute reports from contributors worldwide on current events relevant to cultural, linguistic, and biological diversity, traditional knowledge, and Indigenous Peoples’ rights. We’re always looking for fresh and engaging voices — especially those of Indigenous authors.

Submit your Expression of Interest in the form below. We look forward to hearing from you!

Submission Guidelines & Tips

Our blog posts typically run from 400–800 words, though we occasionally publish pieces up to 1,500 words long. It really depends on the theme and topic of the writing.

We welcome Dispatches submissions of all kinds, so long as they are thematically relevant to biocultural diversity. We also love photo essays.

In recent months, we’ve also invited Indigenous writers to share their Pandemic Perspectives — informal reportage on how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted their local communities.

Not sure if your blog post idea is a fit?

Drop us a line anyway, and we’ll help you refine your angle. We’d love to hear what you have to say!

Expression of Interest
